My Story — Lavontae Stinson

The Truth Behind MFBC

From Wrongful Conviction to Transformation

I lost six and a half years of my life to a wrongful conviction. I did not let that become the end of my story.

This is me inside prison.

I was 18 years old when I was wrongfully convicted. Behind these walls, the system tried to reduce my entire future to a number and a sentence.

After six and a half years, I came home exonerated—but freedom did not instantly erase the damage. I faced homelessness, addiction, anger, and the challenge of rebuilding a life that had been interrupted.

I converted the pain into discipline. That is the foundation of MFBC: Mind First. Body Converts.

The Rebuild

I became the proof.

Today, I am a father, author, entrepreneur, fitness coach, and founder of MFBC Fitness. My body is not just a physique—it is physical evidence of what a rebuilt mind can produce.

My mission is to help people stop allowing their past, their circumstances, or other people's judgment to dictate who they can become.
